Accommodation facilities
We have created the dream and we are delighted to share it with you - Come - Relax and Retreat.
Wave Watchers Retreat is a unique beach front property. It began as a bach that was lovingly rebuilt in 2002. It is surrounded by a beautiful and private old world garden with towering Pohutakawa trees and Phoenix Palms which grow wild in this micro climate. A myriad of Hydrangeas and Lilies abound in the summer. Bulbs delight throughout the seasons.
Rooms and Facilities
Two bedrooms . . . One double and one queen. Both bedrooms feature French Doors to a deck with views directly to the sea. Each bedroom has an ensuite.
Bedding consists of . . . Quality cotton sheets, feather duvets, European pillows, lambs wool electric blankets. All linen and towels provided.
Facilities include . . . Three bathrooms with showers (one has a bathtub), full laundry with washing machine, drier and iron, fully-equipped kitchen with dining table, dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave and fridge-freezer.
Lounge Features . . . Open wood burning fireplace, upholstered sofa and chairs, heating, large bay window framing towering cliffs, flat screen television with SkyTV, CD player, writing desk, telephone, desktop computer, internet access via broadband cable or wireless for laptop computers.
Outdoors . . . Three decks, large covered verandah, outdoor furniture, gas barbeque, and a delightful garden.
Restrictions . . . No smoking inside. No pets.
Telephone and Internet
Mobile phone coverage is limited on the West Coast. We have therefore installed a telephone, as we realise many of our clients are operating their own business from afar.
There is a desktop computer available for your use √or if you have a laptop computer the internet and email can be accessed by the broadband connection. Both an ethernet cable and wireless connections are available.
Local calls are free. A telephone card is required for all toll calls. Kai Ora or Yabba cards are advised, or calls can be booked to a credit card.
