The Tavern
Take a two minute walk from the cottage to visit the Punakaiki Tavern on Highway 6. This traditional village Tavern is popular with the local Kiwis and the friendly bartenders are a great source of local information. The Tavern is open from 8am to late, seven days a week, and serves full meals plus bar snacks. In the summer, find a seat in the adjacent gardens and relax with a beer or a glass of wine.
